Mortdrakon RPG v 1.2.0 Launch


Hello everyone! 

This time I come to you again with a major update for Mortdrakon RPG. After playtests, format revisions, and text corrections, we bring you a newer and rebalanced Mortdrakon RPG ruleset. 

The newest “Mortdrakon RPG Full SRD v 1.2.0” contains a few rules updates, format fixes, wording fixes, new dungeon generator rules, stronghold and settlements for the players to construct, rules clarifications, and new credits of playtesters.

  • No more saving throws for traps, players must avoid them creatively and using their equipment. 
  • Major text grammar and typo revision. 
  • Added new editor credit: Wrecks Sterlingo Bryant-Cupé, thank you!
  • Dungeon generator revamp, room shapes, flavor, and advice on creating dungeons. 
  • Added text “Amphkin have no hair”.
  • Oil Lantern can only be carried in a backpack, and can break easily.
  • Rule clarification, you can move through an ally, not through enemies. 
  • Checks have been more generalized, you only roll when required by the Master of Lore. 
  • In the dungeon generator, entering already explored rooms spawn no new monsters and treasure (rule clarification), only after 8 hours have passed. 
  • Added Giant Toad monster.
  • Added languages to each ancestry. 
  • Weapon Master rule change, re-roll "Choose a specific weapon, for example a longsword; when you roll an attack with that weapon, and you don’t deal at least one point of damage to the target’s HP, re-roll your attack. If your reroll again deals no damage, do not re-roll; instead, deal one point of damage directly to the target’s HP."
  • Change impaired and enhanced mechanics. Increase damage dice rank, from 2d4 to 2d6 when enhanced, reduce when impaired 2d8 to 2d6. 
  • Change instrument damage buff to enhanced. 
  • Double Strike and Double Spell Might and Resolve requirement of 15, and they drain your Might and Resolve when used. 
  • Added the light and ranged property to weapons. 
  • Added the Whip Weapon. 
  • Dungeoneer increases travel pace inside a Dungeon (rule clarification).
  • Darkvision is removed from the game. Light your torches and candles.  
  •  The Master of Lore can decide talents is an optional rule.

Monsters and foes changes: 

  • Skeleton and Chest AG 10 was 5
  • Blue Slime AG 5 was 4
  • Cultist AG 14 was 10 
  • Ogre Defense 5 was 2
  • Giant Spider AG 15 was 12 
  • Gnarled Monster AG 12 was 6
  • Ghost AG 11 was 9
  • Ogre AG 8 was 6
  • Orc AG 10 was 9
  • Blue Slime AG 8, was 5
  • Dragon breath 30 ft to 60 ft
